Frequently Asked Questions • What is the benefit of
resoling shoes? What is the benefit of resoling shoes? Money. Resole your current high-preformance shoes for a
fraction of the price of a new pair and they will come back to you as good
as new even better in fact, because you've already broken them in to
the unique dimensions of your foot. Pick your favorite rubber. What kind of service do I need for my shoes? Typically, most climbing shoes have a hole or rip in the front. You probably just need a half sole and rand replacement rather than doing the full sole. 85% of our work is half sole plus rand work. 13% of shoes just need a half sole replacement. And only 2% go for the whole full sole replacement. It is the rubber material that wraps the toe and heel area of the climbing shoes. It also adheres to the sole, therefore we can't replace only the rand. What is half sole and full sole repair? Most climbing shoes need a resole because of wear on the
front portion of the shoe. Half soles are done by removing the front half
of the sole and replacing with new rubber. This is less expensive for you
than a full sole and better for your shoes to keep their original shape. Shoes need a full sole replacement only when the rear part of shoes becomes badly worn out or upon a customer's request. What if I'm not sure which service to choose? Send us your shoes for us to look at it and we'll give you our professional assessment. What is the best way to ship my shoes? U.S. Priority mail is very reliable and cheaper than others. Use their self-sealing Priority Mail envelopes and boxes. No matter where you sending, it will get to us within two to three days. All orders will be completed and shipped within 10 business days. We accept only personal checks or money orders. Please include payment with order form and shoes. What can I do to take care of my shoes? Heat is hard on shoes. Store your climbing shoes away from hot places at all time. Often customers need full sole service because they left their climbing shoes in their car on a hot day. Keep your soles clean. Soles pick up dirt which makes them less sticky. For the best climbing you can brush the bottoms with rough sandpaper or a wire brush. Get your shoes resoled before the rand becomes too badly damaged. |
